Bob Day
|
| Bob Day has 30 years at National Grid as a former Fire Chief at the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Plant, Chief Shift Operator and MTO at the Oswego Steam Station. Bob has responded to many fires, CO, and gas leaks as a service representative to help the Fire Departments in the Syracuse and Onondaga County areas. He was a Chief Service Dispatcher and received many calls from 911 centers reporting emergencies to National Grid. In addition, Bob is currently a Senior Training Representative and conducts training for Fire, Police and EMS agencies for National Grid. Bob is a NYS Fire Instructor in Wayne County and an adjunct instructor at the NYS Fire Academy. He is a Volunteer Firefighter with the Fair Haven Fire Department and has 38 years of service. |

Brendan Dunn, Deputy Chief

| Chief Dunn is a 20 year member of the Utica Fire Department who has advanced through the ranks to become Assistant Chief. As a firefighter, Chief Dunn served on the city’s rescue company and then on an engine company. As a line officer he served on an engine company, and then a truck company. As a Captain, Chief Dunn developed and directed the recruit training program at the Utica Fire Academy. Since the inception of this program, over three hundred municipal firefighters from all over New York State have graduated from the Academy. Chief Dunn has an AAS in Fire Protection Technology, is an adjunct instructor for New York State
OFPC, and is a principle partner with Deep Blue Training Associates, Inc. |

Robert Stephens, Lt.
|
| Lt. Stephens is a 20 year member of the Utica Fire Department who has advance through the ranks to become a Lieutenant. As a firefighter, Lt. Stephens served on the city’s rescue company and then on an engine company. Currently Lt. Stephens is assigned to the Fire Marshal’s Office as a Fire Marshal. Lt. Stephens also serves as the Department’s Hazardous Materials Coordinator, overseeing all hazmat operations and coordinating the Utica Fire Department Team with the Oneida County Hazmat Team. Lt. Stephens has extensive training in the hazmat field, having attended many courses throughout the country. Lt. Stephens has a AAS in Fire Service Management, is an adjunct instructor for the Utica Fire Academy, and is a principle partner with Deep Blue Training Associates, Inc. |

Rick Lutz
|
| Rick Lutz is an independent logger from
Prattsville, NY where he operates Lutz Logging. Rick is also on the Board of Directors for New York Logger Training and is a Trained Logger Certified (TLC) logger. CIRL course was adopted from his experience with working with his local rescue squadron and the apparent need for training in safely and quickly responding to a logging accident in remote areas. |

Thomas Dunn-Firefighter, FDNY
|
| Firefighter Dunn was appointed to the New York City Fire Department in 1988 and a NYC firefighter for 21 years. Assigned to L-58 in the Bronx, a 95’ Tower Ladder. Ladder 58 response area consists of city projects, several high-rises, row frame houses, taxpayers (stores) and private dwellings. Firefighter Dunn has had extensive hands on experience successfully handling a wide range of fire and safety situations in a variety of challenging settings. He has 18 years as a qualified chauffeur of the Tower Ladder. Firefighter Dunn responded to the tragic events of 9/11 in 2001 and spent many days involved in search and rescue recovery operations at the World Trade Center. In 2008, Firefighter Dunn was detailed to the FDNY’s Division of Training to teach Ladder Operations to incoming Probationary Firefighters at the Fire Academy on Randall’s Island. Assigned to TEAM 2 and responsible for the initial training and skills development for all firefighters. Firefighter Dunn is a Nationally Certified Fire Instructor and the recipient of two Unit Citations, and received the Joseph B Martin Medal for bravery for saving a mother, her two year old child and an elderly man in a Bronx fire. Since January 2009, Firefighter Dunn has been assigned to the FDNY’s Tactical Training School teaching Forcible Entry to Line Units throughout the five
Boro’s. |

Scott Epps started as a Deputy Sheriff with Herkimer County in 1990, during this time he joined the Cedarville Fire Department. In 1993, Scott was hired by the Village of Ilion Fire Department as a Firefighter, in 1996 by the Office of Fire Prevention and Control as an Adjunct Instructor for Hazardous Materials and Domestic Preparedness, in 1998 again by the Office as a State Fire Instructor for Herkimer County.
In October of 2002, Scott resigned from his previous affiliations, and was hired full time with the Office of Fire Prevention and Control in the Hazardous Materials and Homeland Security Bureau. In 2005 he transferred to the Fire Service Bureau where he now serves as a Fire Protection Specialist 1 covering Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, and Oswego Counties.
Richard Ward joined the fire service in 1982 with the East Herkimer FD. He has completed 26 years in the fire service and presently in his fifth year as chief. He was hired in 1997 by the City of Little Falls Fire Department. In 2003 he was appointed to Asst. Chief and also serves as municipal training officer. Chief Ward has also been a NYS Fire Instructor since 2001 for Herkimer County and serves as an Investigator for Herkimer County Cause and Origin Team. |
